Puddleduck Pond

In my town we have a park called Frame Park. It is quite huge and in it's middle it has a beautiful flower garden with grass paths and a long lannon stone gazebo type area to sit and relax and let the worries of the day slip away. It's covered with a wooden grape trellis and if you close your eyes for a moment you can imagine yourself sitting in Italy or France. Especially when it's heavy with grapes...alas, they are not the good grapes but the small sour ones. Anyway, when I was a child that area had a pond with huge koi and water lilies. We had many family pictures taken by that pond and gazebo. There were no ducks in it though. Lol The ducks swam in the river that borders the park, and still do. But in my imagination the koi pond of yesteryear is a place for ducks and all water dwellers to frollic and live peacefully and be enjoyed by nature lovers passing by or who go there purposely to observe them. So let me introduce you to Puddleduck pond...and I hope you enjoy using it. Some cherished memories were visited as I began creating it...there may even be more of it to come.
Big, big hugs to you all!

Meadow

My grandparents were once more the influence behind this kit. I loved going 'Up North' to visit them because they lived in a forested region of the state. My paternal grandparents had 40 acres of mostly woods and high marsh. I was always poking about in there (also the fodder for my next kit...uh after the 2 I have going at the moment). But besides the woods there was a river flowing behind their acreage and meadows to walk through on the way there. All that is gone now...victims of time and change. I'm sad that some of my children will never see what would have been their heritage built by their great granddad's hands. But I have my memories and they are ever so sweet and cherished. Have fun with this kit, mfs. ~Huggggsssss~

Organza & Lace

Here is a kit that I've wanted to do in memory of my grandmothers. They were
awesome women that lived during a time and place when electricity and plumbing were something to put on their wish list. They lived without and were happy and supportive to their mates and children. Their kitchens always had the most delectable smells wafting through the air and their families were always in clean clothes that, if needed, were mended so well that you couldn't see it. There was pride and caring in everything they did for their families. They managed to make the most delicious meals on a big old wood stove, they pumped their own water for daily use and brought in wood to fuel the stove. I have to wonder what they would think of the 'modern woman'.

A Visit to the Orient

A dear friend asked me to make her a kit reflecting the Orient. I hope I gave her what she wanted. There are, of course, many more things in there...plus I may be making a mini kit as I now have a few more ideas of what should go in there.
PLEASE NOTE: There are some butterflies and Asian ladies that are from Dover. Please add the proper credits to those if you use them...©Dover Publications. Those files are marked as "File name"- Dover

Enjoy and please let me know if you like my kits

Lil Lizzie Mini Kit

Lil Lizzie is a pet project of mine. She is a happy child (now there is a fairy tale for sure...lol) and finds something to grin about no matter what. A positive soul in a negative world. I will be posting more Lil Lizzy creations for you to have fun with.
